Click the "+" button on the dashboard to create a new project. Set a name, choose a color and icon, specify the working directory, and optionally add startup commands that run automatically when a terminal opens.
Startup commands are shell commands that execute automatically when a new terminal session is created for a project. Use them to start dev servers, activate virtual environments, SSH into machines, or anything else you'd normally type manually.
Yes. FocusForge saves your session state when you quit and restores it on next launch. Your projects, sessions, and window positions are preserved.
Yes. FocusForge includes 12 built-in themes (Monokai, Dracula, Nord, Catppuccin, Tokyo Night, and more). You can also customize fonts, cursor style, opacity, and colors in Settings.
Terminal emulators need to spawn shell processes, which is not allowed in the Mac App Store sandbox. FocusForge is signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple, so it passes all security checks. This is the same distribution model used by iTerm2, Alacritty, and other terminal apps.
